Summer of 8 may be as sincere as a Hughes movie, but it's as shallow as a kiddy pool.
A summer beach movie of friends exploring their own feelings while having fun. Schwartz was able to capture today's teens thoughts and feelings while at the same time making it timeless. Being much older then the teens in SUMMER OF 8, I was still able to relate to my own youth and the summer I became 18 and started look out into the world.
